Sparkle Motion.

So a lot has happened since my last blog post. I was planning on updating it a lot sooner than this but hey, shit gets in the way sometimes. I have been on J-term for a while in school, and it seems like forever since I have even thought about doing homework. It's just recording and writing music day in and day out. Though I have fallen behind due to several contributing factors, including not having the proper equipment, my teacher (and probably my favorite teacher of all time) Mr. Mark Bobnick has decided to let my J-term project turn into a second semester project instead. Someday (hopefully during this summer) I will get studio time with a producer and finally make my solo EP. It is super exciting, but I also have a lot of work to do if I want to get that far.

I have been spending a lot of time with my boys lately. My best friend Issac found out he got into Columbia College in Chicago. I am proud of him, and he seems really excited to go to the windy city already. He and my mom keep egging me on to join him, and be his roommate, but I am really unsure of this idea. I have had my heart set on moving to Los Angeles for quite sometime now. Moving to Chicago with my best friend seems like a great idea though, so I will have to make a big decision in these coming months. Also, I had an interview last Friday for an internship with the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. I ended up getting the internship! I am going to be working with media and video and whatnot. I get my own cubicle! Like a real job (except I don't get paid, ugh..)!

This Friday was supposed to be the big pop show here in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. But I can't go, because it sold out and I didn't buy tickets in time. We The Kings is headlining A Rocket to the Moon, and a bunch of other good bands. I am jealous if YOU get to go. So instead, this Friday, I am going to hit up my boy in Of Salt and Swine at the garage. They are headlining a bunch of smaller local hardcore bands, and they are also filming their video! There is also an after party later, so that should be fun.

Though a lot of positive things have been happening to me lately, there ALWAYS has to be negative things. For one, The Vikings LOST the Conference Championship! because of a bunch of bullshit calls by the referees. It pissed me off so bad. I have been a fan of the Vikings since 1998, when they lost THAT Conference Championship. Ugh. Maybe next year? whatever fuck it. I don't even want to watch the Super Bowl.

On a more serious note, after thinking I was going to get back together with my girlfriend of about 7 months more or less, Things between us just erupted last Friday, and secrets were exposed. I don't really like to talk about all the details, because a lot of it is embarrassing (even saying this much is embarrassing), but there is not a possible way that I can ever be with her ever again. Not even friends. I can't trust her at all. I am just about over her and the whole situation though, because I had gotten over it before, and now it's a lot easier. Also discovering that the majority of my relationship was and built around lies, also helps. No one deserves what I have been through, and to be treated the way I had. After sticking my neck out for her, hurting my reputation, Being treated like shit. This experience though valuable for future similar situations, May have scarred my ability to trust certain individuals.

I could type pages and pages about it, But I really don't feel comfortable sharing that with everyone. Plus it doesn't even matter anymore. I know I deserve MUCH better, I'm too good to be put in these bullshit situations, and ******, you know I am better than you.

That is all for now, please check again soon!

The Halfway Mark

So. This is my first blog ever. Maybe I should tell you all a little bit about me and bring you up to speed on my life. My full name is Andrew Lloyd Kellogg. I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 29th, 1991. I have lived around the cities, and also in Seattle, Washington, but I currently live in an estate located in a somewhat wealthy community called Sunfish Lake, about 15 minutes from downtown Saint Paul. I have had many interests in my life and they change rapidly. Its hard for some to keep up.

Overall you should know that I am an average kid from a Midwest town with big dreams and high hopes for the future.

Anyways, I should probably bring you up to speed. Right now I am a senior in high school, 18 years old, and go to a school called Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, located in the heart of downtown Saint Paul. Its the best high school I could ever ask for. I used to go to a place called Henry Sibley Senior High School, and it just didn't fit right with me. I am really into music right now in my life, I like to go to shows, play music, create it, and listen to it.

Semester 1 just finished at my school, today was the last day. Its funny how fast time is moving Senior year. It feels like the year just started. Whatever! Its been a pretty good year so far, and I am looking forward to finally getting out of high school. Four years is too much. At my high school, we have J-term. For this, we have a half day everyday for 3 weeks and all we do is arts. For me, that means sitting around writing and recording music, which is awesome because that is what I do in my free time as it is already.

That is all I can really think about saying right now. It's pretty late right now, and very cold (if that has anything to do with anything; I complain a lot about it her in MinneSNOWtah) so yeah.
peace! and please subscribe!
xoxo
